【疫境生活】疫情下哪些書最多人借閱？圖書館熱門書籍推薦榜

【星島綜合報道】疫情影響，多數時間都在家中的你，是否開始多讀了一些書呢？根據溫哥華圖書館的統計顯示，借書的人變多了，而且多數民眾轉向透過數位化方式來閱讀書籍。

溫哥華公共圖書館在3月關閉了其22個分支機構後，民眾對電子書、有聲讀物和其他數位內容的需求開始飆升。圖書館廣泛的數位館藏中的某些部分的借閱量比停運前增加了4,000％，而總體數位館的流通量比一年中的正常水平高出約50％。

圖書館的館藏和技術總監卡希爾(Kay Cahill)說：「我們經歷了一年，世界發生了改變，而這種改變實是我們一生中首度碰到的，這使很多人有更多時間去思考。」

圖書館年度借書最多的主題是這一年的有力反映。

6月，在全美爆發了針對系統種族主義和弗洛伊德（George Floyd）的示威活動後的幾天，有關種族不公正和反種族主義的書籍登上非小說類小說的借閱榜單。

讀者在9個星期內查看由薩德(Layla F. Saad)撰寫的《我和白人至上主義》(Me and White Supremacy: Combat Racism, Change the World, and Become a Good Ancestor)高達3,000次，這使該書成為圖書款啟動數位化逾十年來，被借閱最多的電子書之一。

3月剛出現封鎖情況時，電子食譜的借閱率急遽上升，人人似乎都忙著囤積麵粉做麵食，而旅遊書籍則逐漸被埋在塵埃中。

《小屁孩日子》（Diary of a Wimpy Kid）深受孩子們歡迎，而年齡較大的民眾則喜歡小說和回憶錄，例如蜜雪兒·奧巴馬（Michelle Obama）的《成為這樣的我》（Becoming）很多人借閱。

卡希爾在圖書館工作了15年，她說：「借閱清單所反映的是對我們周圍世界更多的了解和對自己的更多渴望。閱讀書籍標題和內容，可以令我們暫時地進入另一個世界裏。」

以下是溫哥華圖書館過去這一年最受歡迎的借閱書籍，想讀書的民眾可以作為參考。卡希爾本人則最喜歡塔特（Donna Tartt）寫的小說《金翅雀》(The Goldfinch)。

該書在2019年也拍製成了電影。書中描寫13歲的男孩西奧和母親參觀紐約大都會博物館，沒想到發生恐襲爆炸，母親喪生，而倖存的西奧因此改變了命運。
