【多片】数以万计汽车被困 警方一度全线封闭Gardiner及DVP

【星岛综合报道】冬季暴风雪席卷南安省，引致大多伦多地区的数以万计汽车被困在高速公路上，多伦多警防宣布，关闭Gardiner Expressway及Don Valley Parkway（DVP）2条高速公路。

多伦多警队于早上大约10时宣布，关闭Gardiner Expressway及Don Valley Parkway高速公路，以便铲雪车清理道路。

警方表示，这项决定，是因为极端天气及虑到司机的安全；关闭2条高速公路，亦可移走被困的汽车。

多伦多警队于下午大约12月40分宣布，Gardiner Expressway的南北行车线已全部重开。

下午大约3时05分，多伦多警队亦宣布，DVP已经全线重开。

另外，安省省警警长施密特（Kerry Schmidt）于早上表示，不少司机被困在401号高速公路接近Keele街的东行线上，他再次呼吁省民留在家中。

施密特表示，最大问题是铲雪车亦被困在该段公路上；他表示，若果已被困的司机，可能要等待数小时。

他表示，若果未有外出的省民，请留在家中。

施密特表示，若果汽车被困在雪堆中，可以缓慢地扭动车轮，及关闭牵引力控制装置，这可能会帮助让轮胎旋转并让汽车移动。

另外，Don Valley Parkway北行线，因Don Mills附近的路段发生交通意外，令到该处大塞车；在该处被困的司机，可能要等待1个多小时。
